Assessment of Availability of Consumer Loans in the Regions of Russia

Abstract:

The article deals with the current situation on the consumer credit market and stresses the need to assess the availability of loans. It gives the analysis of the volume of provided loans to consumers in roubles and foreign currency in 2015 and 2016. The authors consider the dynamics of loans share with overdue payments in total, as well as the average weighted interest rates on consumer loans.The study is conducted to determine the availability of consumer loans in various regions. The article emphasizes characteristics of the basic problems in lending realm considering the present stage of development. The authors discuss the prospects of the consumer credit market in Russia, as well as recommendations on improving procedures of loans disbursement taking into account new credit instruments contributing to the development of consumer activity.The results of the research can be used by credit organizations to make decisions in crisis periods and within unstable circumstances of economic environment progress, as well as within the framework of making policy on the balanced social and economic development of the country.
